Effective January 1, 2005 through December 31, 2008, and for successive four year periods thereafter, REALTORS® are required to complete quadrennial ethics training of not less than two hours and thirty minutes of instructional time. REALTORS® completing such training during

 

NAR mandatory Code of Ethics Training

The next cut off for completion of the NAR required Code of Ethics training will be December 31, 2012.  Appraisers may use the USPAP seminar for their completion but must send us $5 to record that information into NSBAR, IAR and NAR databases.  Licensed real estate salesmen and brokers may take the class from other providers other than NSBAR however there will be a $5 charge to record the information in our databases or the school you took the course from can send us a spreadsheet of NSBAR members who have successfully completed the course for $1 a person as long as the list has a minimum number of 50 NSBAR members.

NAR will mandate NSBAR must suspend all members who are not entered into the database by December 31, 2012.

Those who take the course from NSBAR will not have to pay the additional cost.
